Join us for an evening of live sewing inspired by the portraits and pins in the exhibition Open Files: Celebrating 5 Years of Collecting. Visit the exhibition, try your hand at continuous line drawing, and have your portrait sewn by Tucker Pierce!

Tucker Pierce, founder of Westminster Press, wields a sewing machine to create custom sewn portraits of people and pets. He pushes gender boundaries with his fiber arts, crafts, and hand-printed posters. For the past two years he has been “live-sewing” custom portraits on pins and patches at events throughout Saint Louis.

*$5 Admission available for World Chess Hall of Fame members.

This workshop is limited to 20 participants, advance registration is required. Hors d’oeuvres and refreshments are provided.
