December Family Day: Fun with Mosaic
December Family Day: Fun with Mosaic
Escape the winter chill and join us on Saturday, December 3rd for our monthly Family Day! This month’s theme is “Little Shapes, Big Picture: Fun with Mosaic!”
Activity from November's Family Day, 201164 squares make up a chessboard. In a special art form called mosaic, thousands of squares—and circles and triangles—can be combined to make a bigger picture. Explore shapes and colors in a special tour of our current exhibitions, then create a bright mosaic image of your own!
Sessions begin promptly at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m. and last approximately one hour. Children of all ages are welcome, though the hands-on project is recommended for ages 5-12. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
For more information, please contact Claire Grothe, Program Coordinator, at claire.grothe@worldchesshof.org or (314) 367-9243 ext. 105.
Hope to see you there!
