The World Chess Hall of Fame (WCHOF) is located in the heart of Saint Louis’ Central West End among numerous shops, restaurants, and art galleries. With so much to do in the area, make your trip to the World Chess Hall of Fame an occasion to explore one of Saint Louis’ most eclectic neighborhoods.

Visiting the World Chess Hall of Fame in the early afternoon? Conclude your trip with lunch and window shopping.  Crepes: Etc., Pi (named President Obama’s favorite pizza), and Green Bean are some of the WCHOF staff favorites! Of course our staff members are regular shoppers at the Central West End’s newest retail store, Q Boutique at the World Chess Hall of Fame, but Moris Fashions and Ivy Hill are also on our list for clothing and accessories.

If you’re in the Central West End to have dinner, stop by the World Chess Hall of Fame on Tuesday evenings until 8:00 p.m. We are open late so that visitors can enjoy the WCHOF before heading to dinner at one of the area’s many restaurants.

Want to plan your trip to include some Saint Louis’ other vibrant arts institutions? The Saint Louis Art Museum is just minutes away from the World Chess Hall of Fame in Saint Louis’ beautiful Forest Park and the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis is also nearby. Numerous art galleries are also located in the Central West End, including the Duane Reed Gallery and the Third Degree Glass Factory.

Make your trip to the World Chess Hall of Fame and spend the day exploring the Central West End’s many entertainment and cultural offerings!
