Welcome Lisa Melandri
Lisa Melandri, Photo Courtesy of CAMSTLThe Saint Louis arts and culture community is a tight-knit group. Many consider Saint Louis to be a big small town — a city where everyone knows everyone. Local art institutions support each other in many ways, often by attending events and partnering together. On Tuesday, June 20th, Saint Louis’ newest arts and culture institution, the World Chess Hall of Fame (WCHOF) welcomed Lisa Melandri, incoming director of the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis (CAMSTL). Melandri is named the fourth director of CAMSTL.
The intimate cocktail party included many of Saint Louis’ arts leaders such as Roseann Weiss from the Regional Arts Commission, Paul Reuter from the Sheldon Art Galleries, Carmon Colangelo, Dean of the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts at Washington University, Marilu Knode, Director of Laumeier Sculpture Park, and Susan Barrett, Director of the World Chess Hall of Fame.
The WCHOF looks forward to working with Melandri in the near future. Welcome to Saint Louis, Lisa!
