The World Chess Hall of Fame: A Blue Star Museum

Posted in Arts and Culture, Exhibitions, WCHOF in the News

For the second straight year, the World Chess Hall of Fame is proud to be a Blue Star Museum! This program, a partnership between Blue Star Families, the National Endowment for the Arts, and over 1,000 museums nationwide, gives free admission to participating museums to active duty military personnel and their families between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

This year, our fantastic summer exhibitions include Bill Smith: Beyond the Humanities and Prized and Played: Highlights from the Jon Crumiller Collection. Both are currently on view and are open until September 15th. More information on Blue Star Museums, as well as a list of other participating institutions, can be found at the program’s website.

We are thrilled to be a part of this special program, and consider it a small token of our appreciation for the service and sacrifices of our military members and their families! We hope to see you soon!
