The World Chess Hall of Fame is pleased to announce the extension of our exhibition Jacqueline Piatigorsky: Patron, Player, Pioneer through July 13, 2014.

Exploring the life of one of the most important figures in American chess, the show contains artifacts related to the playing career and philanthropic activities of Jacqueline Piatigorsky, including the Piatigorsky Cup trophy, designed by Tiffany & Co. The music of Jacqueline’s husband, renowned cellist Gregor Piatigorsky, accompanies a slideshow that contains images of some of the greatest names in twentieth century chess—Tigran Petrosian, Paul Keres, Boris Spassky, Samuel Reshevsky, and Bobby Fischer—all of whom were touched by Jacqueline’s organizational efforts.
