Spend your summer at the World Chess Hall of Fame!

The World Chess Hall of Fame is proud to offer a summer camp that explores the intersection of art and chess. Read on for more information about our Summer 2013 camp, Shakespeare and Chess! Initial registration and payment can be made online by following the links below. A full registration form can be downloaded (.pdf or .doc), completed, and mailed to the below address. No chessplaying knowledge or experience is required!

A full registration form must be completed and returned for both online and paper registrants.

 

Shakespeare and Chess | Monday, July 8 - Friday, July 19, 2013 (M-F) | 9 a.m. to noon | Ages 10-13

If playing chess fascinates you, as well as reading about the passionate lives of Shakespeare’s Kings and Queens (Macbeth, Queen Elizabeth, Prince Hamlet, Queen Anne, Richard III, Henry V, to name a few!), then this camp is will have you strategizing, analyzing, and calling checkmate! Explore acting scenes from some of Shakespeare’s most exciting plays, discover how the strategies of chess relate to some of the greatest characters ever written, and create your own chess set! Co-presented with Shakespeare Festival St. Louis.
